Membrano | Visual Identity Design

The project was to create a visual identity design for Membrano, a Lahore-based design and engineering firm specializing in designing and installing tensile shades in outdoor spaces like bus stops and parking areas. They have a wide clientele ranging between but not limited to hotels, restaurants, government offices, and resorts.

Problem Statement

People behind Membrano were experienced yet fairly new to market, as they were a startup thus looking for a fresh, vibrant and minimal identity for their business that could help them standout in the market.

Design Approach

We began working by interviewing the Client about the problems they were facing. We started the research by looking at the demographic of the local population, what kind of design language is used in the client’s industry, and the client’s design preferences.

After several back-and-forth rounds of discussions, visual references, and sketching rounds, we landed on a bold and vibrant color palette and graphical anatomy to express bold, energetic, and professional aesthetics.

Color and Typography

Throughout the complete visual identity design, the most dominant and primary pallet colors are Marine Blue and Mid Night Black. To balance these bold and prominent color choices Ocean Blue and White is used as a secondary pallet. These high-contrast colors were chosen to create a sense of boldness and energy. To complete the effectiveness of the brand a strong and prominent typeface is used. Montserrat, a clean typeface usually associated with boldness and professionalism.
